Soit appear that after long delay and much searching we have found a source for some gd calcium aluminate cement.
this is a cement that can withstand high temperatures without getting weaker. It has proven to be profoundly difficult to find (at least in quantities less than a pallet (3760 lbs.)) well finally I talked to a nice woman in Chesapeake, Virginia who said if I give her a days notice she could sell me the 14 bags (~1300lbs) that I need. Thank God.
Now I just need to find a friend with a 3/4 ton pick up who wants to take an all expenses paid trip tidewater Virgnia.
Any takers?

Gawd, I *wish* I had a 3/4 ton pickup truck and could take that trip. When do you want to make it?
brown squirrel. I have a pickup and would love to make a trip with you. I don't know if it is 3/4 ton but it's largish.
